Starcross Community is looking to build a team to support the daily work and long-term vision of the community. Our current open positions are all part-time with housing and select benefits provided. In addition to keeping on top of the daily needs of our organization, we are eager to invite folks to join our small team of staff that are interested in developing a relationship to the land, having time for personal growth and development, while also participating in and supporting community activities throughout the week, outside of "work" hours.

We are seeking a Professional Assistant to support Brother Toby directly with his writing, planning and community projects. Each week, Brother Toby (who is 90 years old!) writes a Friday Reflection that is sent out to our broader community via email. This Professional Assistant is responsible for copy-editing, research, graphic design and content creation for each Reflection. Additionally, this position supports Brother Toby throughout the week regarding the community life at Starcross, including developing spiritual meetings and special events, outreach materials, and maintaining communications and calendars.
We are seeking an Outreach Assistant to support our online presence, develop growth strategies and marketing campaigns, and to improve engagement and tracking with donors. This role is great for a self-starter who is eager to grow their experience in non-profit work as well as with supporting the digital outreach for a small business.
The positions listed are on-site positions that require individual(s) to move to our location in Annapolis, CA. That being said, we understand that it is a tenuous time to travel in our country at the present moment.
Our community at Starcross takes COVID-19 seriously, and safety of all individuals is of upmost importance. Due to the age of our community members, we take every precaution with new volunteers and staff entering our community, including 10-14 day quarantines. Other requirements may pertain to individuals depending on circumstance. Details will be discussed with applicants as applicable.
